Princess Marcella Borghese used natural ingredients found around her Villa Borghese in Rome to make toiletries and makeup. In 1956 she met Charles Revson, the founder of Revlon who helped her create a cosmetic line licensed under Revlon. She created brightly colored lipsticks and nail polish to match some of the vivid colors used by world famous fashion designer Emilio Pucci. She also created the Montecatini Cosmetic Line which was named after her favorite spa in Tuscany a first to create a cosmetic line based on natural therapies.
Borghese line was sold to Halston Borghese International a Saudi invested New York based company in 1992, and today it is simply known as Borghese run by CEO Georgette Mosbacher since 2000. Princess Marcella Borghese passed away at the age of 90 in 2002. This product I came across few years ago and have used since, it leaves the skin fresh and clean and firms it while it also cleans the pores. Since I have oily skin it works beautifully and naturally to neutralize the oil. It is easy to apply, usually a thick coat left on the face for 5 to 10 minutes and you just have to rinse it.
It contains a blend of three natural clays firming and toning sagging facial skin, it also improves elasticity while providing mineral nourishment and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and specially fine lines. It contains Resveratrol, Hydrolyzed Wheat, Rice Protein and phyto-extracts which help with moisturizing, protecting your skin.
It comes in two sizes:7 oz tube and 17.6 oz jar, the mask is purple in color and the air tight jar keeps it fresh for use.
