Samsung Smart 55’’ HDTV with 1920 x 1080 resolution is a very dissent large screen TV and the built-in wifi is really convenient for accessing digital entertainment Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, YouTube and some other apps. There are various categories to choose from education, music, lifestyles, etc.
This is the second Samsung TV I am getting and I love the color and clarity, special the sharpness. It features a new Clear Motion Rate technology, CMR of 240, this helps with clarity through fast motion scenes. It has a LED displays which works really well no matter the lighting in the room. The colors are bright and really sharp with good contrast and you can fine tune it to your preference. The sound is strong and uses DTS Premium sound 5.1 with studio sound processing and is equipped with two speakers. It has a good set of options for inputs including HDMI, USB, Composite Video Inputs, Analog Audio Outputs, and Digital Optical Audio Outputs. It is equipped with V Cheap.
The only downside is the smart TV uses wifi and if your modem is not close enough or you don’t have dissent bandwidth the shows become chopped and disconnected. You can definitely mount this unit on the wall or use the stand it comes with, it has thin about 1” wide black shiny frame. All the input and outputs are located in one corner, depending on the type of wall mounting I would recommend you take a note of the location and or take a photo so for future connections you know where everything is located. This flat panel TV is actually 49.38’’ wide, the 55’’ size refers to the diagonal size of the screen.
It is also energy star certified which means it uses less than 20% or 30% energy required by federal standards. All and all I am very happy with the product and I would recommend it , newer models have more smart hub features and apps but rather similar in most other aspects. However, I strongly recommend having a good internet connection in order to really enjoy all the features of smart TV’s.
